FAQ

How many biomes are in Steal An Egg?
Ten zones line the map: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic and the end-game Cherry Blossom biome. Cherry Blossom was added later, which is why older guides say nine.
What are the speed requirements for each biome?
Approximate gates: Forest none, Lake ~900, Desert ~10,000, Jungle ~40,000, Snow ~170,000, Volcano ~700,000, Abyss Ocean ~2.5 million, Prehistoric ~17 million, Cosmic hundreds of millions. Cherry Blossom requires heavy end-game Speed investment.
What is the last biome in Steal An Egg?
Cherry Blossom. It hosts the Sakura Incubator, the only source of Bloom and Spirit Bloom mutations, and the Crane pet is needed to unlock the incubator.
What are The Rift and Titan Temple?
Event zones. The Rift hosts the Abyss Overlord boss whose Boss Tokens buy Fractured-mutation consumables; Titan Temple is tied to the Hungry Frog Parasite-egg event. Dr Scramble's Laboratory is the most recent event content.

How do biomes work in Steal An Egg?

The map is one long ladder of ten biomes, each guarded by bigger pets and gated by a Speed requirement. Your Speed decides which gates open; the biome you can safely raid decides your egg income. The whole progression loop is: earn in the biome you can survive, upgrade the treadmill, break the next gate, repeat.

All biomes in order, with speed gates

These gates are community-measured approximations of the current version — treat them as magnitudes, not exact prices:

#BiomeSpeed gate (approx.)Guardian
1ForestnoneChicken
2Lake~900Swan
3Desert~10,000T-Rex (official art)
4Jungle~40,000—
5Snow~170,000Yeti (official art)
6Volcano~700,000—
7Abyss Ocean~2,500,000—
8Prehistoric~17,000,000—
9Cosmichundreds of millionsSleeping dragon (official art)
10Cherry Blossomend-gameBoss-guarded

Official artwork confirms the lineup at the extremes: the T-Rex guards desert eggs worth $89,121Sp/s, the yeti guards Snow nests, and a colossal sleeping dragon dozes in the cosmic zone. Guardians chase you the moment you grab an egg, so the gate number is also a warning: entering a biome far above your Speed is how you lose both the egg and the walk home.

Forest to Lake: the first hour

Forest needs no Speed and teaches the loop — press E to grab, carry home, hatch, earn. Claim the free rewards first (like, favourite, join the group can grant up to +10,000 Speed) and Lake opens almost immediately, skipping the weakest eggs entirely. The beginner guide scripts this first hour.

Desert to Prehistoric: the money belt

Desert (~10,000), Jungle (~40,000) and Snow (~170,000) are where egg income starts funding real treadmill tiers, and where mutated shells start appearing on nests — check shell colour on every refresh, since a rainbow tint means a guaranteed mutation. Volcano (~700,000) and Abyss Ocean (~2.5 million) gate the mid-game; Prehistoric (~17 million) is where the septillion-scale eggs begin.

Cosmic and Cherry Blossom: the end game

Cosmic’s speed gate is in the hundreds of millions and its guardian is the sleeping dragon from the official art. Past it sits Cherry Blossom, the final biome on the current map, with two things no other biome has:

  • The Sakura Incubator — the only source of Bloom (1.5x) and Spirit Bloom (3x, ~2.5% chance) mutations. A Crane pet is required to unlock it.
  • The steepest carry routes — with the richest eggs in the game and boss-tier guards, plan routes before you grab.

Event zones: The Rift, Titan Temple and Dr Scramble’s Laboratory

Beyond the ladder, limited-event zones rotate in:

  • The Rift — home of the Abyss Overlord boss; Boss Tokens buy consumables with a 10% chance at the Fractured (~2.75x) mutation.
  • Titan Temple — the Hungry Frog Parasite-egg event zone; feed five infected eggs for a 1.5% chance at a Parasite (~3x) egg.
  • Dr Scramble’s Laboratory — the newest content, where drone Samples buy Scrambled (~2.75x) consumables; the update most likely to also bring a codes system.

Event currencies and zones rotate with updates, so check back after each numbered update — this page carries the last-checked date on every visit.
